It cradles me in its arms
Enticing me with its charms

Its tranquil hum lingering
Intoxicating me with its gentle spring
A thousand fancies wrapped to meet
Slumber inviting with promises sweet

In its lap I willingly surrender
Succumbing to all the promises it renders
Stealing the weariness of the day in parting

Even though there were no promises to fulfill
Ignoring well meant advices to which I paid no heed

Did so not because of any greatness but for your own realization
Your conscience that needed be awakened
Nothing that you will ever do can sway my foundation
My faith and my beliefs will never be shaken

I refuse to be me because of you
I refuse to let your betrayals have the power to change
I will always be me only because of me
My values aren’t imprisoned in your silly games!!!

A Good person

To be a good person is the world’s toughest task
You have to fight hard with your inner demons masked
To be a good person you have to be humble and kind
But not so much so that people make fun of you behind
To be a good person you have to have good intentions
Don’t let just your words do it show it with your actions
To be a good person you need to give benefit of doubt
Don’t jump to conclusions, you need to reason out
To be a good person you ought to be honest
But don’t hurt people unnecessarily that feelings violate
To be a good person you need to be responsible
Not just for your family but being there for others is invaluable
To be a good person always think positive
But learn from your mistakes and learn to forgive
But to be a good person is to be good for one’s sake
Its your own chosen path, it’s what makes you unique
